Artist’s Statement

"Imagine" - was chosen as the theme of my collection to inspire the imagination.  I see myself as a messenger of images of nature. My "goal" as an artist is to allow inspired images to come alive on canvas, where viewers are free to “Imagine” and be inspired by the image created.

I work in all types media. Currently, acrylics and oils are my preference. Both work across large surfaces and when manipulated, with just the right tools, achieve a texture that reflects depth, dimension and movement.

My artistic journey began as a commercial artist, responsible for creating a variety of business, advertising, and promotional materials. Home design, computer web-page and graphic design were natural evolutions in my career. Later, while raising my family and working full time as a successful realtor in Sherwood Park and Edmonton Alberta , I established myself as an artist with a unique and natural style.

Many artists have encouraged me to take risks and to let my images flow onto the canvas. Their acceptance  and support have been a motivating force behind the marketing and launching of my shows.

My published works include: the cover of the "Canadian Rural Medical Journal" (Oct. 2010); "Avenue Magazine"; "Reno Magazine"; and Edmonton "Home Magazine". My art work was also appeared as background for 3 different morning shows for  Global News Edmonton for "Kohon Design" (currently known as "Zag Creative Group). I remain the "resident artist for " Zag Creative Group" who specialize in  media advertising.
